Portraits! 02/25/2012
We took a day trip today with my brother and his family up to Kennewick to have portraits taken. It was a long, but really fun day--and the photos came out great! Some of them were blurry and/or not perfect, but I couldn't bear to let the studio toss any of them away, so I got them all on CD. Yay! 1 Comment Halloween! 11/01/2011
Ellison dressed up as (surprise!) a bat this Halloween--she was so cute! We went downtown for the trick-or-treat event and picked up a bit of candy. Mostly, Ellison enjoyed watching all of the costumed kids (and adults!) wandering around. She's too young to actually eat the candy, but she likes the colorful packaging and the sound of the wrappers. All in all, it was a great holiday. We hope it was great for you, too! Here are some photos and a video from our day: Pumpkin Patch! 10/23/2011
I know... I know... I am seriously behind on my posts. I'm sorry! Let's talk about today, though. It was a gorgeous day--blue sky, sunshine, and quite lovely. A perfect day to take Ellison to the local Pumpkin Patch! I decided to invite Carol, and since my dad and Kathy are in town for a few days, I invited Kathy as well--an impromptu "Grandma Day!" This still cracks me up every time... Portrait Time! 02/17/2011
Last week, we tagged along with Greg, Kalli & the (not-so-little-anymore) Littles for portraits. We had a great time and ended up with some really nice photos. Obviously, some are better than others, but I thought you'd enjoy seeing all of them. Enjoy! The Best Sound in the World 01/07/2011
Yesterday was full of laughter. Well, most days around here are, but this one was especially so. Here's an audio clip of Berkley & Ellison playing: I could listen to that for days... :) I know it's always fun to see video, too, so here you go: And here's a picture of the little bean not too long after... all tuckered out. baby monster & daddy monster 12/15/2010

![]() When my aunt and uncle were going through my grandparents' house after Grampy died, they found a dress from who-knows-when that still had the tags on it (really cute little tags, I might add!). We have no idea who it was originally intended for, but Ellison became the lucky recipient. The tag was marked "XL," which doesn't really match the 3 months, 6 months, etc. sizing that I'm used to, but I decided to try it on her the other day and take a few photos. She was a great sport, but other than having something new to taste, it was obvious that this was not her idea of a good time. In fact, she acted a bit like the kittens had when I subjected them to dress-up time (Buddha had just gone limp, lying around on the floor in her pretty pink dress). I don't think she'll let me put this on her again--too many layers and ruffles and things. That's OK, though. At least the photos will keep. Enjoy! 4 Month Checkup 10/05/2010
Just a quick post to update you on Ellison's growth. We just got back from the doctor where she received a very positive thumbs up. She now measures 26.75" tall, weighs 17lbs. 4oz., and has a head circumference of 17". Yikes—a big girl! I think her body is just trying to catch up with her oh-so-large personality... One more thing: in case I forgot to mention it in an earlier post, she now has a second shiny new tooth. The average age for a first tooth is 6 months, but that's our girl! Already out to prove that she is anything but average. | It's a GIRL!Ellison Rooke Eileen ArchivesFebruary 2012 CategoriesAll |
